Introduction
The cultivated pansy is of hybrid origin involving Viola tricolor and various Viola species and cultivars. It occasionally escapes, but does not persist. Found in a cow pasture in Port Coquitlam (Lomer s.n. @ UBC) and occasionally in sidewalk gaps around plantings.
